Windows XP reserves 20% of your bandwidth by default
to recover this 20 % bandwidth
you need to do the following
click start
click run
enter:- gpedit.msc
click ok
in open window goto
Local computer policy
Computor configuration
Administrative Templates
Network
double click on QoS Packet Scheduler folder
Double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth
click enable
Set Bandwidth % to 0
if this is not configourd or set to disable
