what are you talking about, hes geting that error coz hes useing linux and trying to run a windows mir server

can anyone explain how to get into the game wid these files? just to mess around n stuff. (even offline wud do)

they are setup for offline use download the client and the server files

a little guide for you

First things first
Make sure you have a my mir client on your pc.

Next
Once you have your server files they should be called mirserver
and need to be placed here C:\mirserver

Next
You need to setup the database this is called DBcommander and can be
downloaded from Here

Next
Once you have your dbcommander installed go windows Start / Settings / control panel / BDE Administrator ... the the dbcommander you just installed.

Next
Click object / new / standard / and make sure you call is HeroDB

Next
Now its time to run the server.
So go to C:\mirserver and find a folder called Run the server from here, after you have read the readme file.

Next
In side here you will see numbers 1 to 8 you only use 1 to 7 number 8 is for online use and its for the player sig stats.
Ok so all you do is run all the exes 1 to 7 by double clicking them.

Next
Once the server is fully loaded you should see ??? this means all is good and you can login with your game client..




Errors
If you get any errors like API you need This Unpnp.

once u see ??? how do u login with the game client?
im not that far yet lol but i think ill get stuck there. do i need to create an exe or something?

in the client that u downloaded u will see the starlite offline exe

right, i dont everything but i carnt create an account for some reason...
think its to do with the mir200 thing. doesnt wana work
it says invalid filename when i click M2server in mir200 folder

ok. i have sorted that. i can make character, but carnt get the character ingame. what i done wrong here?

mem8 also just did this reboot ur server and try it again it worked for him

grr i rebooted. stil carnt get past char select screen. anyone know why?

the latest and updated mapinfo

if that doesnt work , download unpnp i did them 2 things now its working offline for me , ta for files lifo me n me m8 gunna ave a bash with them , iam sure ill need ur elp in future but for now ta ta

lifco bud i know this aint exactly right thread to ask but does ur files capable of adding things like flamefield /blizzard etc

and mirarm/heavenarm etc?

and is it possible to add new caves like vipers etc?

it has everything u said but the skills

dont lisen to anyone if they tell they have them on 1.9 they dont, u can add flamefield but its buged its not 100% euro

as for items etc the client has more items than any 1.9 around unless they are useing my client as for maps its packed with them over 40 + huntplaces and u can add as many as u like

ok bud cool , i used to play about with 1.4 server bkin the day and there used to be a program called mir server editor i think it was , it made making items very easy etc , is there a program like this about for 1.9 or is it alot more manual graft to make armours etc?
