Basic Guide To Making A Server..

i have followed all of the steps and when i get to char select screen - i got to create a character... (put char name in and click 'OK' ) and a get a message saying "[failure] Character Creatign Failure. Error=4."

any help plz?

edit: does this with any name not just my gm name + also all the chars too.

Have you wiped the old char DB's, also Double check the path's + Name

It means the char name already exists... wipe the DB.

i get the 127.0.0.1 not ready too also i can log in but theres no server to select at server select screen..

Can any one give me a guide to stop cheaters ANd protect my dbs??

Cheaters can be stop with a speical cheat game gate which if you search you can find. Protecting your DBs, Download Zone Alarm and install and when it askes for you to allow or ban DB server when you open it click ban for the 1st time then it opens again then click allow that should block port 6k.
