The bits marked in red are different to the PC i bought about 4 months ago and it cost me £413 .

Cooler master centurion - instead i have some cheap colorsit case (£20)
Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2 - Instead i used www.torrentspy.com =p
Gainward GeForce 6200 TurboCache -Instead i have a Club3D GeForce 6600GT
Didn't buy a floppy or DVD drive as i already had them.
The prices should be cheaper as i bought mine 4 months ago.

I think £500 for that computer is a tad high. Check komplett.co.uk for some good prices.

By any chance could you tell me what place you bought that from? or is it top secret :(

Did a bit more shopping around and yeah Ragnar you were right about prices.
Just ordered a bunch of components from various sites.

Kept most of the bits the same as in my 1st post but added/changed to a Athlon64 3500+, a 128mb 6600GT and a 300gb SATA2 drive.

Total price dropped to £368

It'll do, and with the spare change from my budget i can add a couple extras if i feel like it.

seems a bit pricey for £500 is that pre built? or is it just for the parts?
